Short-term apartment investors in the south often sold at a loss

Of investors who sold apartments in 2025, 9.7% did so within five years of buying. 47% of them sold at a real loss. In the south, a quarter of selling investors were short-term and two thirds of those sold at a loss, 62% by another figure.

Short holding periods carry real risk once inflation is counted, so buyers should factor in holding time and transaction costs.
