One in four new Israeli homes is built in a tower; Tel Aviv leads a surprising category

An analysis of construction starts in the first half of 2026 shows the share of homes built in towers has doubled within a decade. Jerusalem leads for the second year running with nearly 1,940 units, versus 860 units in Tel Aviv. Surprisingly, Tel Aviv leads the category of low-rise high-density building.
