A Jewish buyer from France purchased a 4.5-room, 130 sqm seafront apartment in Netanya for his son for NIS 3.4 million, after brief negotiations. The deal followed a wave of antisemitism. The broker says fewer French buyers are active in the city now, and prices of comparable apartments have fallen after previously reaching NIS 3.9 million.

What it means for buyers abroad

French demand in Netanya appears to have cooled, and comparable prices have eased from past highs. Buyers from abroad may find more room to negotiate there, though each deal differs.
